Yield: 12 sliders
Prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 20–25 minutes
Total: ~30–35 minutes
Ingredients
Sliders
- 16 oz ground beef
- 1 packet Serious Ranch Dip Mix
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 package Hawaiian rolls (12-count)
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 5–6 slices cheese of choice (cheddar, Colby Jack, American, etc.)
Burger Sauce
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons pickle mustard
or 1 1/2 tablespoons mustard + 1/2 tablespoon relish - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Optional Toppings (serve on the side)
Pickles, sliced tomatoes, thinly sliced onions, shredded lettuce
Instructions
1) Preheat + prep
Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C). Set out a quarter sheet pan (about 9x13 inches) and line a separate baking sheet with parchment.
2) Season + bake the beef
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, and Serious Ranch Dip Mix until just mixed (try not to overwork it).
Press the mixture evenly into the quarter sheet pan, all the way to the edges. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the center reaches 160°F (71°C).
3) Toast the rolls
While the beef bakes, keep the rolls connected and slice them in half horizontally to make a top and bottom.
Place both halves cut-side up on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the cut sides with a little melted butter. Once the beef comes out, toast the rolls for 5–7 minutes, just until lightly golden. Remove from the oven.
4) Add cheese
Carefully drain off excess grease from the beef (tilt the pan and spoon it off, or blot with paper towels). Lay the cheese slices over the top and return to the oven for 3–5 minutes, until melted. Let cool for 3–5 minutes so it transfers more easily.
5) Stir up the burger sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together all burger sauce ingredients until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
6) Assemble + slice
Place the bottom half of the rolls on a cutting board. Using a wide spatula (or two), transfer the cheesy beef onto the rolls.
Add any toppings you like, then place the top half of the rolls on. Slice into 12 sliders, following the roll seams.
7) Serve
Arrange on a platter and serve warm with burger sauce (and extra toppings on the side).
Notes from Evelyn’s Kitchen
- No quarter sheet pan? Shape the beef into a rectangle slightly larger than the rolls before baking—ground beef shrinks, and this helps it fit the buns nicely.
- For the cleanest slices: Let the beef rest a few minutes before transferring, and use a sharp serrated knife to cut the sliders.
